Several representatives from various companies were in attendance. Kenya Forest Service was represented by Simon Ng’ang’a of ICT department. Mr. Julius Kipng’etich, Director of KWS, emphasized that corporate organizations should strengthen and direct their corporate social responsibility to communities. “Reach out to the communities and empower them in order to sustain your CSR activities”, he said. Mr. David Muturi, the Kenya Institute of Management, CEO encouraged organizations to participate in Organizational Performance Index (OPI) excellence model which is a self-assessment model that enables companies to bench mark themselves.
