During the recent performance contracting presentations, Kenya Forest Service was ranked No. 103 overall out of 139 ranked State Parastatals. In the category of Service Parastatals, KFS was No. 29 out of 38 such organizations.
In all cases KFS was ranked as good with a score of 2.8553 on a scale of 1-5 with “1” as excellent and “5” as poor.
The Ministry of Forestry & Wildlife was ranked as 34 out of 45 ministries.

This is one good work we need to to keep on improving if we are to make impact and enhance our performance contract index. We need to get our strategic plan as our guide to get to the top. We need to ducument what we are doing in the best way we know how. Am convinced we are not reporting over 80%of what we are doing especiaaly in the field.
