African Development Bank (AfDB) to Fund Forest Community Resource Centres


The Green Zones Development Support Project (GZDSP) funded by African Development Bank and implemented by Kenya Forest Service and Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation will construct four Community resource centres in Kakamega, Nyeri, Embu and Nakuru at a cost of Kshs. 67 million.

The centres which will house the Conservancy Office, FCC Chairman’s office, Training rooms and library are expected to be complete by April 2011. 

The contact to build the centres was recently awarded to Njarie Agencies Ltd whose Director Mr. Abraham Nduati Njoroge promised to deliver quality work in time. He is seen here receiving the contract from KFS Director (r) and Project Manager, Mr. Jerome Mwanzia (l).
